These positions, some of which are vehemently held, are the result of a wide variety of factors - social media also plays a major role in this as a <strong>Opinion-forming tool<\/strong>. They can also trigger fear, anger or sadness and <strong>Lasting consequences for mental health<\/strong> have. It is important that we adults <strong>Catching children's insecurities<\/strong> and the children with the <strong>Weltschmerz not alone<\/strong> let. Our children are confronted with adult content that they are often unable to fully understand and process.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: transparent; font-size: 32px; font-family: inherit;\"><br><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: transparent; font-size: 32px; font-family: inherit;\">What<\/span><span style=\"background-color: transparent; font-size: 32px; font-family: inherit;\"> is my child or pupil currently looking at <\/span><span style=\"background-color: transparent; font-size: 32px; font-family: inherit;\">on TikTok and Co.<\/span><span style=\"background-color: transparent; font-size: 32px; font-family: inherit;\">?<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Whether it's just a few videos or lots of them: Every child with internet access and various apps comes into contact with <strong>disturbing war videos<\/strong>currently mainly from <strong>Israel<\/strong> and <strong>Palestine.<\/strong> Realise that the platforms are full of <strong>anti-Semitic<\/strong> and <strong>anti-Muslim <\/strong>contributions are. Also circulating <strong>disturbing videos<\/strong> from <strong>murdered<\/strong> and <strong>injured<\/strong> People. People take this as an opportunity to create brutal videos and posts and, above all, to win over children to radical views.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\"><br><\/span><\/h2>\n<h2><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">What do videos from <\/span><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">dead people <\/span><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">and <\/span><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">War wounded<\/span><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\"> with my <\/span><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">Child<\/span><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Children can use the <strong>Complexity<\/strong> of such pictures and videos <strong>not process.<\/strong> Sometimes it feels to them as if these images are happening in their neighbourhood. They make a connection to their own lives. So a <strong>Feeling of threat<\/strong> and, as a result, fear, but also hatred or anger can arise and influence a child's psyche. The greatest danger is that the <strong>Algorithm<\/strong> ensures that the children are only confronted with such incriminating videos. This can lead to the so-called <strong>Doomscrolling<\/strong> lead.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\"><br><\/span><\/h2>\n<h2><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">What is <\/span><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">Doomscolling<\/span><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\"> and what does that do to <\/span><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">children?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Children only see such videos, pictures and \"bad news\". <strong>This conveys the feeling that everything in the world and in life is only negative.<\/strong> This can have a negative impact on a child's mental health and promote emotions such as anger, sadness and aggression.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\"><br><\/span><\/h2>\n<h2><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">Which <\/span><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">Questions<\/span><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\"> I can give my <\/span><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">Child<\/span><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\"> or my <\/span><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">Pupils<\/span><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\"> place?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Important: Make sure you <strong>Time<\/strong> and <strong>prejudge<\/strong> Don't touch the child. Also make sure that they themselves <b>No fear-inducing rhetoric<\/b> use. Enter <strong><u>Hope<\/u><\/strong>!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What are you currently seeing particularly often on Instagram, TikTok and co.<\/li>\n<li>What questions do you have?<\/li>\n<li>How do you feel when you see this content?<\/li>\n<li>Do you have an opinion on the content you see? If so, why and which one?<\/li>\n<li>How does it feel to see the suffering of the people in the videos?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Can I show uncertainty or fear and give a factual overview, even though the children's opinions seem clear?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is generally advisable for adults to avoid situations <strong>fact-based<\/strong> and <strong>factual<\/strong> describe. Uncertainties, sadness or helplessness can and should be shown.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\"><br><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">The <\/span><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">Language<\/span><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\"> the <\/span><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">Adults<\/span><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">: It is particularly <\/span><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">Important!<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Pay attention to a <strong>calm voice<\/strong> and a <strong>pleasant space<\/strong> for the conversation. Children need <strong>much longer time<\/strong>to <strong>Assign concepts<\/strong> and to analyse the situation <strong>sort<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\"><br><\/span><\/h2>\n<h2><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">Which <\/span><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">Tips<\/span><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\"> I can give a child for <\/span><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">Social Media<\/span><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\"> give?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The important thing is to always <strong>justify<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Do not share videos of people who have been injured or killed - out of respect for the victims and bereaved.
